I've had some difficulty outlining the next areas of the game. So I finally created my world map, it's helped a lot now that I can decide where to put things, and how the player should progress.

Current Updates
I haven't posted anything for awhile now, and don't expect that will change any time soon. I did just post the 'Chapter 3 Script'. I just have a hard time working on something when I don't feel like it... And that is why I'm planning out the whole project first.
I've been playing around with RPG Maker VX a little more (It has been released in English!) and it definitely has it's good sides. Recently I opened RPG Maker XP to mess with the events, and after toying with VX, I didn't want to touch the XP event system. It's many of the same commands, and similar options, but VX is just cleaner and feels easier to use.
Anyway, back on the main topic, Chapter 0-3 complete what I call the "Introduction" part of the game. I've divided the game into 4 parts; Introduction, Item Hunt, Get the Villain, Ending.
Item Hunt is the meat of the game, gathering items, building up your charter, subplots and side quests. Get the Villain is that final part of the game where you get the villain (!). And the Ending is of course the final say.
So what I may do, before I press onward, is polish up the Introduction portion, as I fear I may already have created some loop holes in the story. I even have the bare bones of the ending planed out. The challenge will be to make sure I add enough stuff to the item collecting that you think it's fun.

Unnamed Project Backstory
I really need to come up with a name for this game... But for now, here is the back story. It's very silly, a lot cliche and not very serious at all. I may do some slight tweaks here and there, but this is pretty much final. This information won't be given to the player in this form, it's more of a reference, so when different character that talk about the past, they will talk about similar things.
Anyway; read, enjoy, comment...
Long ago, there lived an ancient race know only as “The Ancients”. Very little is known of them. What is known, however, is just as confusing. For one reason or another (I personally believe that it was another) they began to mysteriously disappear. Knowing that they would soon be unable to watch over the world, they designed something that could. The Ancients created 7 crystals, each holding together the balance of a different aspect of the world, each a different color.
White – The balance of Purity and Lust
Blue – The balance of Self-restraint and Over-indulgence
Yellow – The balance of Giving and Avarice
Orange – The balance of Integrity and Laziness
Red – The balance of Composure and Anger
Green – The balance of Admiration and Jealousy
Purple – The balance of Modesty and Vanity
Then they created 8 wizards to watch over the crystals. The wizards were told to protect the crystals, and to serve the humans. Eventually, the last of The Ancients disappeared, and the wizards were left alone with the crystals.
There came a time when said 8 wizards served under King Dopenboper. But the 8th wizard was just too different. He didn't eat the same things, wear the same clothes... Even his magic style was... “different”. The 7 other wizards weren't trying to be discriminatory (It is against wizard policy 2d-5.2!) but... He really was VERY different. So eventually, as was bound to happen, the 8th wizard decided he would leave, and something regarding them “regretting it”.
Later on, the 7 wizards, being the wizards that they are, foresaw and foretold of the 8th wizard's scheme. The 8th wizard foresaw that the 7 would foretell his plan. But he did not care – he knew they could not stop him. But the 7 put together a plan of their own. They knew someone that could stop him, and completely reverse the 8th's plan. But the 7 didn't know of the 8th's second plan, because he hadn't yet planed it, let alone known of it himself.
The 8th would create himself some minions and kidnap Princess Dopenboper. Then he'd be able to demand anything he wanted from the King. But the 7 would appoint a hero, and when the time came, that hero would rise up and stop the 8th.
Well, he did, and so did he, and that was that. But the 8th didn't agree with the current resolution, and even though he was in a very weakened state, he came up with his second plan. He decided that if he could go back and do it all again, he could decide to not screw it up. And so, as it would happen, the 8th had such a device to allow such a plan. The design of the device would only allow it to make one trip, and the materials needed to build it were so difficult to obtain, it's unlikely he'd ever build another one. But who knows?
Anyway, he used the device, and went back to the start, only this time he sent his minions after the mother of the boy that was chosen, only he captured her two years before he was born. Yet somehow, call it fate – or bad writing, on the same day and time as before, Luke was born. Well, Luke came into existence. Technically, he just kinda appeared. Have you ever heard of the legend of the chosen one, born from no one? But I'm getting off topic here.
It was a strange moment, but everyone had been expecting it, and it seemed strangely normal. Perhaps being chosen by the 7, even in a previous time line, made him too important to not exist. And the 7 chose him again, but things went a little different this time around. And that's what this story is really about. Second chances for all, except Luke's mother – she go not say in it this time.
The 8th didn't know of Luke, didn't really care honestly. He can be quite cold. More relevant is the fact that he didn't act out his plan right away. He needed more time to make the army of minions he had planed out this time. And the 7 foresaw and fore-blah, blah, blah. You know the drill. The point being was the King also had time to prepare this time. He didn't ready just his army, he called for all able to take up arms. Unfortunately this action is what set Luke off his destined path. But he'll find his way back. Hopefully.
